What is the local currency and what type of plugs are used in Ghana?
The local currency is the Ghanaian Cedi (GHS). Credit and debit cards are accepted in major areas, but cash is recommended for smaller vendors and local markets. ATMs are available in town.
Ghana uses Type G plugs (the same as the UK), with a 230V / 50Hz supply. We recommend bringing a universal travel adapter if you’re coming from outside the UK.
